The Dubai Creek Harbour is Emaar’s latest flagship project currently under development within and adjacent to the Dubai Creek and the Ras Al Khor RAMSAR designated wildlife area. The development includes the formation of an island (the Island District) which is to be constructed within the Dubai Creek and connected to the mainland by several bridges. The island is being formed by the construction of a series of marine edge walls which vary in design, level and alignment according to the architectural and functional requirements of the adjacent precincts.
Overseas AST has been contracted to undertake the construction of the Phase 1 marine works which includes the Advance Promenade, Docklands, Creekside Park, Harbour Promenade and Marina 1A precincts. The works comprises the fabrication and installation of quay wall elements and all associated rockwork, dredging and excavation. The project presents significant interface and coordination challenges and stringent environmental compliance due to the proximity to the adjacent wildlife sanctuary
